I usually don't post such a general question, but I'm going to today.
So, I'm an indoor grower. ATM I have about 600 watts of Veros and a 600 HPS (which will be replaced with more cobs). I have a 7x3 RDWC setup based on the Current Culture units, 6 trays and 18 plant sites. I use a screen to keep it all even and use Ionic nutes. I veg separately and have a rotating, perpetual situation where I harvest something every few weeks. I don't have a chiller and my room temps in summer are about 80 degrees. My water is 70- 75 degrees right now (I place frozen water bottles in the rez when it's hot).
I don't know my GPW or anything but I usually get about an OZ per plant. Sometimes more, sometimes less, of course- depending on the strain.
Every summer is a battle and gets me thinking about going back to soil or trying coco. That's why I am posting here. I'd like expert opinions on how to better (or change) what I'm doing. I already committed to cobs and love the performance so far. I think maybe I need to swap out my tubs with new ones for some reason. Maybe salt buildup? I mean my plants are doing fine and all, but I wonder if I could be doing better.
I know I could add a chiller, air conditioning, etc. But I don't want added electricity costs, which is why I am switching to cobs. I'd like to just maximize my yields, I guess. I'd like summer to be less of a hassle, too maybe. BTW, I grow Critical Kush, Super Lemon Haze, A11, and Pineapple Express.
As I finish writing, I realize this is very vague and may not even make sense, LOL. But if anyone wants to chime in on this, I would appreciate and suggestions. It might help others as well
