Hello everyone....
I had some seeds imported from Amsterdam nearly 10 years ago and, on a whim, thought I would see if they would germinate. To my surprise, I have 4 that seem to have cracked and are showing root tips. I have already planted these seeds in coco, which is what we have been using, and are under a T5 florescent light. My aim with these seedlings is to produce some very healthy and vibrant mothers.
Does anyone have any good techniques/suggestions for nurturing a seedling into a healthy mother and maximizing the potential for cuttings?
For example...
What is the best way to nurture the seedling in coco (i.e. when to introduce nutrients)?
What is the best way to sex the plants? Do you sprout the seedling under 12/12 to determine sex immediately? Do you cover a lower branch for 12 hours to determine it without putting the entire plant into flowering?
Since supercropping really maximizes the number of growing/flowering tips, is that a good mothering method? Would it produce good cuttings if you never plan to flower it?
(I've probably missed a ton of questions, but this is what has been swirling around my head today...)
