Best way to keep mothers for Aero setup

Hi all been reading about aero growing and I am jumping in but I want to get clones from the dispensarys in my area and I was going to make a veg aero unit but my main concern is how to or the best ways to keep the mothers after the roots are showing in the veg unit.
I was thinking since the first batch is going to be mothers should I transfer into soil since the mothers will always be in the veg cycle after they show roots in the aero veg unit or can everyone make suggestions after I purchase the clones to mother them the safest way
