Thanks Bigby - I've been doing pretty much back-to-back grows now since the beginning of 2009 and have learned TONS. It's getting to the point now though that I may start to not grow during the summer in order to get a 'break' from it and concentrate on my vegetable garden outside in the summer. I've had much better results in my fall-winter-spring season for growing since the temperatures are better for me in the grow room when it's cold outside. I could get an air-conditioner for the summer as well, but I don't know... This has been our best result so far with the amount we received from this number of plants - and the quality of the VK is amazing - I understand why this strain finished 2nd overall at the cup last year!!!

I used the papertowel method. Using either pH'd water (~6.5) or rainwater, I lightly soak a paper-towel and put the seeds in it, folded over a few times and then put it into a ziplock baggie - making sure not to squeeze all the air out (most of it but not all). I then wrap the bag in a kerchief and placed it on my computer speaker wrapped in a thin towel (just to keep out the light and keep in some warmth). It took about 2 days to crack out 1" tap roots. From there they went into the expanded peat pucks (and into a plastic grow-dome with the heated bottom) until they had fairly large first node serrated leaves. I keep my dome in a dark closet until the germ'd seed actually surfaces out of the peat - then they get placed under my 400w MH. I leave the 400w quite far away from them until the seedlings are strong enough to handle the heat ( a few days usually ) and gradually lower the light more and more until the bulb is about 12-15" away. The seedlings will try to stretch - this is my signal to lower the light more.

Hope that helps! It's been the best way for me, but everyone has their own special methods of course.
