I have found that Olivia's is a great first food, the PPM is very low.
It can be sprayed on as well as watered with, I use it for clones.
I spray it on plants from the 4th week of veg up to the 3rd week of flower if the plant wants more food.
A PPM meter is needed, PH meter is not.
We all agree,
give water only,
don't add Nutes till the plant looks for food, that comes after the 2nd to 3rd set of leaves.
Don't trust charts, use 1/2 dose of everything and then adjust based on the plant.
I use Fox Farms hydro trio in a Hempy type grow.
2 teaspoons of Big Bloom has a very low PPM in a gallon of water and it lowers PH of tap water very little, it adds 50-75 PPM to the 110 out of the tap.
Grow Big, 2 teaspoons to a Gallon and the Mix will be in the 600-700 PPM range, it adds 500-600 PPMs plus tap water.
( subtract your tap water PPM to know what is in your water/ Nutes mix. )
So AFTER your plants grow bigger feeding water only.
Start Nutrients,
I mix big bloom and grow big together.
they are completely different, read the bottles, read some plant biology also.
One is an NPK food and the other is a "micro brew" in other words full of healthy microbes.
Get a PPM meter
check your tap water,
mine is 95-110 PPM from the tap.
My PH out of the tap is 7.2 so I can add 2 teaspoons of Big Bloom and 1 teaspoon of grow big to a gallon of Tap water, the PPM is 700 and the PH goes from 7.2 to 6.0-6.1.
So PH down or up is not needed for me, Your numbers may be different but the schedule is laid out by the plant.
In my mixes I do exactly as stated, start at half strength and go up to the PPM that the plant likes in Veg.
For my MasterKush it's 600-700 PPM and she is in heaven.
I am in my third year and I am a noob in comparison to many others on the board.
My advice is read the newbie FAQ's, most of your questions are answered.
