i have 16 lights in my room and i need some quick pointers and help.
they are all 1000w hps. air cooled hoods.with digital ballasts. and are in rows of 5
i have a huge 12"vortex sucking air into the room. and another 12 sucking air out.
i have a 8'' vortex for every row of lights (5 lights on a row minus one row that has 6)

i started my grow and quickly found powder mildew on my plants.
i sprayed for mildew and it went away....came right back a few days later slowly.
then i noticed mite eggs and next thing you know theres millions of spidermites all over the place.
i want to know where i went wrong in the setup.

my exhaust has a huge filter on it and i have 4 air conditioners in the room.
although the lights seem to overpower them and make the room stay pretty warm.

i also have 12 house fans in there.

plz help someone:wall:

You can zap the mites w/ high dose of co2.

More info on the grow would help. Dehuey(s) are a must. Humidity at lights off will be the worst. What is a "big filter"?

You need a sulfur vaporisor if you don't have one.

Mites prolly came in on clones. Where did clones come from?

Just a few thoughts. More info = more help!!

Did you clean before building the grow room setup? Do you change cloths and wash your hands before working in your garden? Do you get your clones from an outside source?

Most the time I have seen bug problems in a set up is because outside the grow room wasnt cleaned and contaminant likes bugs dust etc got in.

I've also heard you need to wash your hands and change cloths when coming in from outside as you can carry mites from outside into your garden.

As you have seen once it starts it spreads very fast. You can spray and rub off the mites but I've heard that 1500ppm CO2 shot for like hour or two will kill all pest as they require oxygen to live.

All this information i have gathered from friends/growers and many forums from this site. Hope the info helps or gets ya going in the right direction.

1500 ppm c02 is what I run my room at all the time and unfortunatley won't kill bugs. I'm talkin 5000ppm blast. of c02 for 1 hour.

This information is first hand from me, a grower who has actually tried this and benefitted.
