ok so im on my 3rd grow right now and i was wondering if i would yeild more bud with lets say a couple large plants or a bunch of smaller plants example 10 plants in 5 gallon buckets or 20 plants in 3 gallon buckets
what size pots do you recommend for a bunch of smaller plants?? 3 gallon or even smaller?yes I agree to get the largest yeilds you want to go with SOG clones. The smaller plants are able to be packed into smaller areas where they recieve more intense light and can evenly fill out the canopy.
If your growing all your plants from seed it's kind of a different story because first of all you need a lot of seeds. And you want them to be similar using multiple strains proibably won't help acheiving the maximum yeild because of the differences in size of the plants and all that so you would want something stable to grow and they won't vcome cheap.
So all in all I would say for the most efficient yeild you need clones because of the uniform growth, the fact they are all female, being able to have a proven producer and the cost vs buying seeds.
Actually for a lot of little plants as in a SOG the soil you would need somewhere in the range of 2-3 gallon pots, but the soil expense for 50 pots of soil would be massive, making your profit alot lower. most people do a SOG with hydroponics as the medium is cheap and effective. 50 cents for a rockwool block versus 2 to 3 dollars to fill a pot with good soil.what size pots do you recommend for a bunch of smaller plants?? 3 gallon or even smaller?

so 25 dollars for 50 babies using rockwool or 150 dollars using soil, but if you prefer soil and want to buy that many pots and soil you could go for it.
i know that there was a man around here that just got busted a month or so ago, he had 450 plants in his basement and he had a soil-based op so it can be done.. its just expensive and tidius to water all those plants when an ebb&flow will water them all for you =D
