Biggest buds....

Anyone have any input on how to ensure you get the biggest buds you can off your plant? I'm curious if there is a way to amp it up....

to get a good yield start with the right genentics, plenty of light, air and the right amount of water and nutes. there arent ny shortcuts or magic potions (humates and sea kelp come close). from ur question i can tell u havent done ny research. im flowering my first grow and its been succesful because i spent 100's of hours readn. there isnt a subsitute for expierence but u should prepare urself the best possible.

There is a lot more to it than can be just written down in a paragraph, but having automated climate control including CO2 is a must. You can buy a small computer by CAP for $500 that monitors the level of CO2 in PPM's (parts per million). You want that to be at around 1110 during veg, than amp it up to 1500 once you flip the lights. It should only be running during lights on. Other than that, use high quaity indica genitics (most sativas are whispy, great high, but not great weight usually), very high quality nutes, and read every sticky on this site.

But you can have all that, and if you don't spend good money on excellent genetics, nothing will help your cause.

Aside from genetics, plant heath, etc....Go with 1000 watt HIDs,(positioned correctly) and CO2, as mentioned. Light being most important, then CO2, next.

correct temps in the grow room ph levels ppm/ec levels dont fuck with them too much heavyhands = diminished results

I like the way you think man. Your actually the first new grower I've seen that has actually admitted that its your first grow and then you also gave the best advice you can give. Read, read, read, read! I mean that's the only thing you should focus on.. but it will help you GREATLY along the way. Hands on experience is also another great asset to learning.

Just be cautious as to what material you read because rather you believe it or not.. the fact is, is that something like around 70 to 80% of the material you read about "growing" is written by teenagers that think they have it all figured out.. and usually if its not completely incorrect, it will have important information on the subject that is left out and not included in the article that your reading. I'm not an expert either.. not even close. In fact, I still learn something new every day about growing... and that's another thing too, no matter how good you think you are.. you still don't know all of it and anyone that says that they know every single thing about growing cannabis.. they're a g*d damn lier IMO.

I've been reading as I go... I just went into bud last week... and I have spend hours upon hours of research... but like I said I have went by phase, there is so much to learn, just asking if any one had any tricks up their sleeves, I think the most worrisome part is you spend all this time and $$$ and you don't want feathers on your plants ya know what I mean.... I have researched numerious sites and bibles and horticulture sites as well...I am an experienced gardener, but it's one thing to grow a bush and if it dies your like oops...my weed is a different story! This is my first grow as well, and I'm nervous, I mean my plants looks lovely... their big and beautiful, but I'm looking at them like are you girls gonna love me back???? HAHAHA...it's like a relationship you put so much time and effort into it and then it goes sour! It is hard to determine who to listen to everyone has so much to say and I never believe anything till I try it and see for myself I'm the type of person who isn't a believer till I see it! I do take advice into consideration and I am praying to the buddha gods that my girls give to me as much as I have given to them! Cuz I have given!!!! I have never taken care of a plant like this before, and I can grow....oh I can grow... but can I flower? lol... I am considering getting a couple plants and experimenting with them... see what I can come up with... it's hard to experiment w/ the whole grow unless your reckless... or just have $$$ to blow and I'm far from either! When I first started I began to read and read and I wanted to know sooooo much but I didn't wanna overwhelm myself to the point where I couldn't even remember what I read...so I figured my strategy would be to grow w/ them so to speak.... hopefully it works and I'll let you guys know....

take on cloning that will keep ya busy for a while. then you can test anything you want, without wasting a bunch of money.

Gotta agree about the reading up.I read up about it for years on sites like this then when i was able to put it into practice i didnt even have to think twice about what i was doing i just knew it. check out my thread.
