bit of a rough start but seems to be improving

on April 16th all the sprouts were above ground in solo cups under a t5

I accidentally ran out of RO when I started so they were watered with tap the first few times but are now on RO water

I also planted the seeds in a soil mix I made last year but has been sitting so I think it was almost right but a bit too hot for the seedlings

planning to veg for 60 days top multiple times and flower in 7 gallons with super soil water and a topdressing around day 30 flower. I started cooking my soil on 4/23 to use by early to mid June


I used subcools soil mix not the newer one but the old one with blood bone guano azomite Epsom salts ewc base soil

I moved the seedlings under a multi spectrum hps bulb on 4/23 temps range from 74 to 78 and RH is at 35 to 50%

will transplant to one gallons this week of roots organics and start lst and topping.

any advice or .02 on organics subcools super soil etc are very much appreciated thanks for taking time to stop by my journal

so I've only used tap in the beginning and now RO for the last few waterings think ill give them with some great white mycos this next one that stuff always seems to make my plants happy

they're starting to get bigger finally I think the tap h20 in the beginning slowed growth but I added some great white mycos and 1 tbsp black stap mollasses to last RO watering to try to kick start some root action and bring those benes and trichoderma to use

just transplanted the ladies & gents to 1 gallon pots, the solo cups contained my soil mix from last year but I believe it was too hot so I put them into plain roots organics 707

just till they get big enough to take my new soil mix that should be ready to use by the end of this month

will get a pic later on when the light shuts off so its easier need a better phone camera this Nokia Lumia is ok but cameras mediocre at best lol

tga Chernobyl prior to topping ala uncle bens topping technique sin mint cookie is just as big just only snapped one or two pics before going in to make cuts

Been away from the garden due to injuries from a car accident miss it so much love these little ones

and a few Sin mint cookies by sin city after topping down to the 2nd node from the 5th , to get 4 colas on each plant once sexed i plan on doing 4 plants per light and i only have one tent so if theres more than 4 fems out of these sin mint cookies and chernobyl i got 8 going so i expect 4 to 6 females like i usually get from tga and sin city around 75% female in low to little stress scenarios males ill give to buddies that have extra room and if an extra female or two is around ill give her up too

love peoples reaction when I have plants to give them for free

began brewing a molasses guano alfalfa kelp tea too today will probably use it in a day or so added
1 -2 tbsp unsulphured molasses
2 tbsp high N bat guano 9-3-1
1 tbsp kelp meal 0-0-1.5
1 tbsp fish/alfalfa/poultry meal mix 7-7-2
1 to 2 gallons water

bubbling in a 5 gallon bucket with 2 airstones powered by a single air pump

will filter mix well and add to watering schedule next time then plain water, then plain water again, then a tea recipe changing as the plant ages and needs change
high N now in veg
higher P & K in flower
molasses, kelp, and alfalfa throughout for sugars, micronutrients, and trace minerals if I'm not mistaken
mycos near times of transplant for root growth
and if needed tea recipes always being added too

so all 8 plants also need protection from mold pest etc so i will be getting some neem oil concentrate, maybe some serenade, and extra airflow and training will prevent pm occurances, also keeping rh below 50% and temps above low 60s at night.

only had pests from bad clones and these are seeds I germed and popped so a little neem will go far

pm I usually get on my bushy indica strains late in flower so airflow and rh are key.

will also re scrub tent with bleach to prevent old spores and mite eggs as soon as my injuries heal a little more.

I scrubbed it when I started but you can never be sure about PM and mite eggs

bad clones cursed me a few runs back and I've never had either since , but i take extra precautions now to be safe

my current tent is 4x4x7' tall hope I can expand up to a 4 x 8 x 7 after this run and use two lights instead of one 600w so I can flower 8 @ a time instead of just 4

For extra piece of mind have you considered a sulphur or garlic candle?

yeah I'm working on getting a sulphur burner to use between crops this run hope it does me justice pests/PM are the worst

just need to get one twice as wide, this height is good for indoor plants

waiting for morning to come so I can buy some jillybean seeds :\ time is passing slow argh I got the cash just need to deposit it so I can use my card but if they sell out ill have to wait regardless so lets see what we get heheh

They should be on the way soon its only been a day but the order went through

update: Today I removed the glass on my air cooled hps to up temps a little bit and I read the glass dims it anyway

I moved my exhaust from the air cooled good to the top of the tent and my intake I opposite from it, a passive screen covered flap on my tent

also untangled wires next to ballast they were getting cooked I think that was a bit dangerous so prevention is better than replacing burnt down items lol

and I added a small clip on fan to create air flow low on the babies close to soil
and I have an oscillating fan for airflow up closer to the light and tops

RH is finally about 39 to 41% and temps are 77 in day and I think 68 at night getting closer to my ideal numbers

closer ones are the Sin Mint Cookies, i have 5 of those going
and farther in the back are the Chernobyl, i have 3 of those pretty little ones

hope i get a good pheno leaning towards jack the ripper or train wreck from the Chernobyl so i have a nice Sativa medicine
and i hope to get a blue power leaning pheno from the Sin Mint Cookie, Forum Cut is nice i grew it last season but the blue power was frostier, great trim for bubble and had an amazing flavor to it as well as potency above most of what I've grown so far

since the photo I've added clip on fans and removed the glass from the hood hope the more stable temp and humidity give the plants thriving environment

so I'm excited for its child with forum cookie
grown forum cookie last season as well came out nice and frosty with the classic durban poison funk too it

so i should get some amazing phenotypes out of this hunt

and dj shorts grape krush x tg genetics redemption i got from a breeder on instagram

and on the way is supposed to be TGA jillybean, Norstar genetics Panama Jack, and whichever freebies I earned with those orders

and the whole line up under the 600w
they've been doing well just a bit thirsty
got the temps from 68 at night to about 75 in the day
and RH from 45% at night to about 35% occasionally as high as 40% some days
depending on outside weather

as i intake air from the side of my house
love to see where this goes and will start vegging more tga gear soon
just trying to get a nice 8 bulb 4 foot t5 or an MH that i can use in my tent until plants are ready for flip to 12/12
