"She'll be transplanted in another week or so. I ran out of soil (again!). Can I put her in straight earth castings? That's bout all I got at this point. "
No. Castings are too dense and retain water much to much. It needs to be mixed with other stuff. If left by itself it gets hard and soupy, and the roots have a hard time with it.
Other than that you are looking good. I'm a little envious of your clones. I'm up in Butte County and all the dispensarys in the area where I used to get clones are gone. I either have to go down around Sacramento or up north to Redding area, which are scheduled to close as well.
I've never seen a cat chew on canibus befor, but I keep the criters away from my grow anyway. I think its kind of funny. Maybe the strain was crossed with catnip
It sounds like you have a good idea on what you want to do. I'm going to follow your posts just to see how those early plants will do outdoors. I'm really itching to get mine in the ground as well. Mid may looks like the date for my area though, if I can wait that long.
On soil, I bought a 20% worm castings 80% compost mix from the local worm farm for 45.00 a yard and mixed my own. Azomax, blood and bone meal, perlite, basically. I figured its a bit cheaper than store bought and I used this last year with decent results. I also ran a compost tea brewer for extra nutes so I didn't really have to add much else while growing. Much cheaper than store bought.
Happy gardening
