black pots outdoors?

my plants are planted in black pots and the pots get really hot during the day. is this bad for the roots?

I put mine in holes and leave the top of them 2'' from the ground

YES! Get a can of paint or wrap them in burlap and wet in the am and when dried.. :peace:

thanks for the answers. just got done painting the outside of the pots white.

I have black pots outside as well.
I have to water twice a day to keep them going.
But they are very nice.

yeah just keep them swamped thats all..when it is above 95
