Just little update. Mixed up some nutes tonight. Doubled up the shooting power to 1 teaspoon per gallon. Bubblicious is getting quite a few orange hairs. Looking like around 50% ratio orange/white. Blue Dream looking around 30%. I need to get a loop to check the trichs out. I think I'm on day 46 so almost 7 weeks. Bubblicious supposed to be 9 week strain and the Blue Dream 10 so. Any advise on what to look for when it's getting time to harvest would be appreciated. I'll post some more pics later this week but here is couple I took tonight.

Pic 1 Blue Dream
Pic 2 Bubblicious...quality sucks sorry.

Its all preference, people harvest usually on depending on what high they want. Personally, i like the cough lock so i always take my plants longer :eyesmoke:

Shit looks frosty as hell, you should snap a pic when the lights are off :weed:

Yeah will be snapping pics on Thursday.
I like the couch lock of the Indies so I will probably let the Bubblicious go 9 weeks for sure. The BD is more of a head high due to the heavy sativa so I would like to get that one close. What should I be looking for as far colors of hairs % wise and cloudiness of the trichs? I picked up a loupe today of ebay 30x to inspect the trichs. Ships from here in So Cal so should be here in the next few days. Always have grown outdoors and didn't really pay much attention to it cuz it was always dank and FREE! LOL but I always went by like 80/20 orange to white hair range then I would cut manicure and dry. Never really worried about the trichs before but from what I have read the longer I wait and let them get more cloudy/amber the more cough lock it gets. Is there a ratio or % to sorta follow by when inspecting them for the type of high?

When i harvest the main key is "does the nug look like a ripe nug" as an apple turns red, grapes turn purple. Hairs should be around 90 percent red. Any hair that is not red, the calyx has not swelled yet. If you are looking at trichombs i would suggest making sure half or so are amber. I dont use this method anymore. wait till the fruit appears ripe. in other words, they should look ready to go into the bong.

Here are three images the first and third are master kush which i think was harvested at the correct time....bubba kush in the middle i let go past the window. yellowing of the leaves and a loss of vigor and when calyxs stop swelling are all good indications.

Ask and you shall receive Sicc! LOL I'll snap some more on Thursday I turned the light off for few mins to plug in a new timer for my intake and exhaust. Have it dumping in to my ceiling and I can smell herb in my bathroom becuase the air is flowing out my exhaust vent??? I have a scrubber but not sure what the deal is I might have a leak in the ducting or something.

But anyways here are some pics

Thanks again for the info Aev. I'll keep an eye and you guys will be seeing tons of pics anyways so... On day 47 so figuring atleast another 2 weeks or so on the Bubblicious, just started showing orange hairs here about a week ago I think. But over that week they have increased quite a bit. The Blue Dream thinking around 3 weeks. Both of the BD's are showing orange hairs but not as many as the Bubblicious. Seems to me like the lower bud sites are quite a bit more orange than the tops?? From what I understand with the nutes (I use H&G) in week 5 when I added the Top Booster it makes the plant think it getting ready to die, then adding the shooting power makes it so it is flowering for a 2nd time. I'm in no rush, I ordered my loupe off ebay today 30x for like $4. Ships from here in So Cal so should be here tomorrow or the next day. Then I can start inspecting the trichs to see what they are looking like which should give me a better judgement of where the plants are.

Was just looking throught the pics and noticed that I took basically the same shot of the Bubblicious 3 days ago here they are to compare. It looks to me that there is more orange hairs on Day 47. (I try to take similair shot to compair week after week)

Looking real good!! be careful with those flashes at night, that could lead to hermie of a plant. you ever find any bananas?
I turn the light off for few mins during lights on to take pics...I think in the 7 weeks of flowering I have opened up my tent like 4x to check temp/humidty when lights are off. Nope didn't see anything that looked like a banana and haven't seen any seed production.

Flowering Day 49

Woot just few more weeks left. That shooting powder is definitely doing its job...nugs are showing new growth every day and getting a lot fatter! Just in a few days I have noticed a lot more orange hairs. Can't wait to get my loupe in the mail so I can check out the trichs. Got a new toy here yesterday 1000w ballast with a monster sun master or sun system hood and a brand new Eye Hortilux Super HPS Bulb. Only paid $160 so I was pretty stoked. Also found a 4x4x6.5 tent on Amazon for $90 free shipping so grabbed that too. Can't wait to get the new tent and light set up for next round. Hopefully my little ones will survive... update next post. Also did some work in the tent I have currently. I mentioned before I have been having problems with smell...well not me but my roommate. So I took my exhaust fan out of my tent and took all the ducting off and resealed/retaped every thing. I hope this will be the end of it. I generally run my exhaust all day which pull fresh air in from the vents along the bottom of my tent. My intake is set up on the same timer as my light. So it only blows cool air in when the light is on from 8:30 p.m.-8:35 a.m.

Took really shitty pics of the Blue Dreams so just few of them tonight sorry.

Day 15 Clones

They aren't looking so good. I have been neglecting them here lately but I gave them good watering tonight with new batch of nutes that I mixed up. Hopefully this will help! I think the are lacking nitrogen amongst other key nutrients. I did notice that the Grape Ape has some new growth but still very concerned. If anyone has any tips that would help them recover that would be great!!
Hope the clones work out man, im sure you'll get them to bounce back :peace:
Thanks Sicc I hope so. Do you think it was a lack of nutrients?

I'm hoping to get the new tent here in the next few days and move the Bubblicious & Blue Dream in to that finish flowering and move the babies under 400w MH. Tent ships from right outside of LA so if they ship it today then should be here Monday or Tuesday hopefully.

First off, flowering plants looking real good man! Lots of people harvest at this time which is too early.

My first instinct would be underfeeding of nitrogen. I cant quiet say that for sure without knowing what you are feeding them and how often. If you arent phing the water you could have plenty of food in there but unavailable to the plant itself (restricted by improper ph). This is know as nutrient lockout. Cant say this for sure without knowing ph going in either. Coco is known to build up salts which can also throw the ph off which in return will cause lockouts. On the nitrogen topic, ive noticed if it is solely because of nitrogen the plant will appear healthy just real light green. The structure and overall look of the plant is telling me it could be something else. Let me know how much you are feeding vs the recommended feeding of the nutrient itself (and the amounts of npk and other micro nutrients)

Do not make a decision without covering all angles as you may compound the problem and only make it worse. Ive attached a ph chart showing you what happens at various phs'.

You are running coco specific nutrients right? Let me guess the big guys arent in coco? Coco needs to be treated a certain way to get good results, it should not be treated like soil- it is a soiless medium and should be treated that way. I suggest you read through this page i found.
http://integralhydro.com/cocoscience.html

This is interesting-

Signs of toxicity (high levels of NaCl in coir substrate)

 • Slow/stunted growth
 • Unhealthy plants
 • Yellowing
 • Burning
 • Rusting on edges of leaves
 • Rust spots on leaves

dont forget that medium also plays a role in ph. you should ph the water going in and the water coming out or even better, ph the actual medium using a soil ph test kit. it may not even be a ph problem but rather high salts (typical of coco) or wrong nutrients (not coco specific) or not enough nitrogen. I think it is a combination of nutrients and salts. Give me more information and we will figure this out.
