Blue Mountain Organics - Discuss your results

I'm interested to hear from others how BMO has worked for them... I've read a lot of great things about them... might as well try them for myself.

There was a post in this section about how BMO are the best nutes to use if you want to recycle your soil. That was some of the best advice I've gotten on this forum. It's amazing how great my soil smells when I'm removing the roots and putting it back in my bin. And +1 to their foliar spray and plant tonic. Gives you a great base to flower on IMHO. I can't give you any results per se because I have nothing to compare it to since it's the only nutes I've ever used and that should tell you how happy I am with BMO. And it's probably more organic than most OMRI rated products. Still, is it really organic if you get it out of a bottle ?

I think i remember that thread awhile back... truthfully i trust the "organicness" of it just because of the people who manufacture it. I appreciate how it's a family run no nonsense business... simple packaging with small batches made at each time to insure freshness and quality of their products. I put more weight into their products than other big names...

side note - What does your feeding schedule look like for using BMO? I have found a number of schedules but everyones seems to vary a little bit.

I only use the Super Plant Tonic and have had nothing but good results with it. I highly recommend it for your roots.

I agree. I would much rather give my money to a small business anyday. My crack about organicness is more of my belief that a true organic grower will, (for example), just walk into the woods and pick some horse-tail to make into a tea and solve their PM issues. What can I say, I'm an idealist!

I don't really have a schedule, more of a belief system due to growing with LEDs, which for the most part require less nutes, and usually I'm growing multiple strains, so different feeding needs. Basically I use Plant Tonic for the first two weeks after rooting/sprouting. Then when I get 5 or 6 nodes I'll begin Foliar Harmony every 4 days until the first few weeks of flowering. I don't use a lot of Grow It Green. Usually 1 to 2 feedings in late veg and early flower. Then it's nothing but Flower Power, CalMag and molasses till the final weeks of flowering. Also I'm a big fan of Azos and find this works really well with BMO's lighter nitrogen content. Happy Growing!

I used BMO for recycled soil and had no complaints. I moved on to kelp meal and homemade EWC which is cheaper overall but takes more work. I still use the SPT and EWC to brew microbial teas once in awhile.

I'm surprised more people don't use SPT. It seems my plants never get root bound when using it and I just perked up one of my moms using it. Plant was looking like shit and one feeding and no more red stems . Great stuff.

I've had nothing but great results from BMO. I'm an apartment dweller, so being able to add some to a bucket of water in the shower, and oxygenate it over night with a small air pump, makes life simple. I've recycled my soil for the last two years, using the Super Plant Tonic, a few added handfuls of peat moss, or compost, and a pinch of dolimite lime. I've used some of my soil 5 times now, and the plants seem to look better each go round. IMHO everyone should try the SPT at least once. I just picked up a couple bottles Cheap ! BMO's got bunch of auctions going until the end of the month, with some super low prices. Basically, buy the stuff and they're shipping it for free.
