Boosting Vegetative Growth

I’m currently growing 2 Northern Lights and 2 Magic Melon plants that will be 2 months old July 1st. One of the Magic Melon plants are in LST and the other three plants have been topped once.

All four plants have been planted in 15 gallon grow bags with Sta Green potting soil, Black Cow Manure, 12-0-0 organic blood meal, and I use FOOP’s starter pack liquid organic nutrients for every watering. I also foliage spray with FOOP also (I don’t plan to do this during flower). They get direct sunlight outdoors from 9 am to 6:30 pm.

Looking at the these plants, how can I boost there vegetative growth? What could be hindering them from explosive growth?

Well first of all there’s no need to top or lst when growing outdoors. It sounds like you may be giving to much to these plants, although I’m not even sure what Sta Green is lol. Maybe an expert can chime in here for you!

They appear to be in the shade.Well amended ground and full sun is one way to get them big. These are 60 days from seed in full sun.No other stuff just one watering.IMG_20220612_100127143~2.jpg

I’ve been doing my first grow here by the book and encountered the same problem until the sun came out and temps went up. It was cold and dreary the first 2 weeks of June and my plants barely budged…they’re still behind but doing much better now that I’m getting actual summer weather. They need loooots of sun and warmth.

Just took a closer look and I see things like curling in the leaves as well as burnt tips and even holes from pests. You have other ones that look lush and great. I know strain has a lot to do with things but many people here will point to those red flags right away and give you advice. I just don’t know what the advice would be because I’m new, but I would be googling the shit out of the internet if it were me!

Big pots look like they were recently transplanted too
No “explosive growth “ :D Till the root mass begins to fully fill pot
No way around it other than coco/hydro

From the looks of the smaller ones, I’d say you have root issues….As in they are either drowning or some other problem that’s hindering them.
I wish I knew enough to be more helpful. Are you letting the soil go through a wet to dry cycle? I’ve had plants do the same thing and I believe I soaked the pot to heavily before the roots were established enough. This led to a pot of soil that stayed wet for weeks and a plant that just kinda sat there.
i would hate to uproot a plant for no reason but I’m betting your roots will tell you a lot about the slow growth.
Lastly, the member’s comment about coco was timely. I just took the plunge and decided to try a couple plants in coco. All I can say is wow! They’re a month old, I’ve already topped and defoliated twice, and they are still bushy and growing faster than I ever imagined. I’m sure I’ll run into an issue or two once I flip to flower, but so far I can’t imagine going back to soil.
