Its been 8 days into flowering with 4 weeks veg time (got the clone at about a foot tall). I noticed a bunch of dried up yellow dead leaves so I plucked them. They're all bottom leaves with really no light penetration there. Rest of the plant seems fine. I should mention about the 2nd week in veg same issue but with smaller leaves turning yellow. FFOF soil and FF nute lines. didn't use much veg nutes since I transplanted 2 times. Using RO water with no calmag Could this be a def. or Mold/Mildew? Or is it normal? Thanks for the help

Nice complete description.
What you have going on is a normal function of the plant, killing off the shaded unusable leaves. The yellowing and such is the plant using the available nutrition from the leaves it's killing off to put more power to the parts of the plant working effectively.

The soil appears rich in Calcium,,,,for now. You may want to add at about 1/2 (2.5ml per gallon) strength a Cal/Mag supplement to your RO water soon as the needed calcium begins to be used up from the soil. Say around 3-4 weeks into flower? It won't hurt and will cover any trouble that may arise.

Your looking GOOD! Keep going.

Grow on.

Thanks for clearing it up! I was making sure that's what I thought it was doing. 1st grow. :) Fox farm nutes doesn't seem to have calcium.. I'll pick some up during the 4th week of flowering then. Thanks!

No advice from me.. I can say that most of what is said about feeding is wrong, It comes from indoor food cropping in Europe.

I don't change feed, only the strength. I use 16-16-16 kelp based plant food. I add Cal/Mag and Silica. Clones to harvest they get the same thing.

You have a real Cal/Mag deficiency. Just get BontaniCare and add it...or spray, still time, don't rush anything, the plant looks great.

She is just saying..."I hunger." :)

Today is the 3rd week in the 3.8 gal air pot. Maybe the calmag is already depleted from the soil by this time? I'll pick some up sooner then. And add it with my feeding schedule or every watering? Thanks!

With feeding schedule. It's soil so it shouldn't need a lot.
Thanks for the input. So I bought the cal mag+ and after some more researching I read that people that uses ffof runs into soil PH issues during late flower because the buffering in soil is depleted? All I could find was dolomite lime as a top dressing but the lime also has calmag in it. I don't want to feel like I wasted money on a bottle of cal mag..
Should I use both? Or skip out on the lime and use calmag every other watering and adjust the pH accordingly? Or will my soil last all the way through harvest because after a week of transplant it went into flowering..? Please help :)
