Hello Im just wondering if you can cure with these boveda 62's right after dry and do you still have to burp if you use them? anyone has experience with these please let me know thanks.
They do work and one can get a fast cure in 15 days using the packs - but - for a proper cure more time is needed 30 + daysI just bought some of these and I'm anxious to try them out. I'll be harvesting this weekend.
49's are too dry and will degrade your smoke.Do the 62 rh packs work better than the 49% ones ?
I find the buds still a little too soft out the jar at 60% and over 70% mold is a risk, wanted to try these for a while and I`ll have a fair bit to cure in the next month or 2
Anyone used the 49`s yet ? I`m guessing there a bit dry for most but as I`m in the uk the RH is always 70 to 90% here I`ve see bud that was dry in a jar get left out in an unheated room and go soft and damp just from the moisture in the air, so I`m not sure if I`d be better off with 49 packs
I guess if I was selling it 62rh would add a bit more weight..... but I don`t really care about that
I had a similar experience with the boveda's. IMO I think storage in a C-vault, in a cool, dark area is the way to go!!! Boveda's are great when you leave your buds out to long, or a come up on dry buds!I'm going to go against everyone here and say boveda should only be used as a tool and not for storing. I have a few of the big ass c vaults and I put a unit in one and stored with a c vault ...when stored the nug was 55% . After a month with 4 boveda packs in there it was 62.. But it smelled like shit like a funky smell and the color of the weed looked different . This has happened to a few units over the last 6 months and other people I work with also have had bad results with them . I use the bovedas if weed gets too dry.. But once it's 59%ish I like to store it in a c vault or mason without a boveda pack .
