hi Bricktown.

I've recently made a cheap 240v controller type system, and wanted to hear your opinions on it. Basically, the first part is simply a 240V timer with 30 minute increments I bought at a local hydro store

the second part, is a normal $3 cheap Home Depot power strip, however on the cord end of the strip, I cut off the 120V end, and attached a 240V outlet instead. Now, I plugged the now modified power strip into the 240V timer, and *walah*, a 240V timer controller

I wanted to hear your opinion of this good or bad, I've been using it so far with good results for a few months running 240V lights. Thanks!

as for your question, are your clones domed to keep up humidity? are you giving them plain water often? roots sometimes can come up to 10 days

My 60 amp breaker pops while only running less than 15 amps from a 20 amp breaker. The 60 amp is the main and obviously the 20amp is directly running my 1k light, 2 6"exhaust fans and 2 oscillating fans. Oh yeah and my air pump for my DWC. When I start the 60 amp is makes a buzzing noise. Does it sound like the 60 amp is bad? Thanks

sounds like you have all the right conditions and requirements for the clones.

how big were they? i cut mine pretty chunky and it usually takes a solid 12 days to see roots.
but i got lucky with a couple of these gdp, i cut these on the first of this month.

the rest havent caught on but they are still super green.

do you have a dome?
i ph my water on a daily basis for my spray bottles and i mist the domes 2-4 times a day and mist the plants once a day.

I have a question. I am setting up in a new house and my dryer line in the new house is 3 prong but my controller box is wired for 4 prong. I opened it up to change the wire to a 3 prong and inside the box only the 2 hot wires (red and black) and the ground(green) are hooked up. the neutral white line is simply wire capped inside the box. When i hook up the 3 prong cord obviously the 2 outside wires go to the red/black terminals but where do i hook up the 3rd nuetral wire since the neutral wire inside the box is simply capped off?

For your question i would say make sure to spray them with water inside the container they are in regularly. I like to buy a humidifier and use a toilet stopper valve as a sort of grommet with a hole cut in it for a 3/4 inch pipe and connect my humidifier directly to my cloning chamber. That way they stay nice and humid. Now i just use a clonator though it is much less hassle, set and forget.

Hello Bricktown,
I'm running a 600w mh hps light set with 4" inline fan & filter in a grow tent in my basement. Heat from the lights is not an issue, neither is the 4" fan since it's -8 C where I am and I can keep temps between 22 to 29 C.. My plants are showing couple of sets of leaves and are fine.
However, last night the outlets in my bedroom stopped working (dead outlets) and the breaker didn't trip. 2 other outlets in my basement are also not working. Lights and fan are plugged into separate outlets in the basement. From a little bit of reading I found information that the problem may be the connector receptacles in the outlet ( snap back vs screw terminal). Due to my schedule I wil begin troubleshooting in the morning so I hope to get some advice.

thanks for your time,
