Broad Mites - Systemic Solutions?

Fam,

I have some broad mites in a VEG room and I'm looking to get rid of them asap. I've sprayed with Nukem/Cocowet about half a dozen times however I want to give the plants every advantage they can get.

What types of pesticides can I put in the Rez to give these plants a systemic strength boost?

Here is the protocol I've come up with:

-2 x Tablespoons of BotaniGard® 22WP, added into DWC system, circulate for 7 days then drain
-Treat 5 times, 4 days apart each time, with wettable sulphur 90% concentration @ 2gram per gallon
-1 miticide bomb after sulphur treatment is complete
-During flower treat with Nukem, moderate dosage, sprayed once weekly until week 6 or 7

Systemic insecticides used on something you plan to smoke is undocumented untested ground in science. There are some approved for food consumption.

You may inadvertently be poisoning your friends or customers by using a systemic pesticide without disclosing to the smokers.

Diatomaceous Earth. Non-toxic. Spray it on your plants before they flower and it makes the leaves uninhabitable to insects. I use a duster to apply it, but I've heard others mixing it with water and applying. Wash it off after a week - 10 days and the mites should be gone.

Isopropyl alcohol also works well. Kills mites and eggs. IIRC about 20-25% iso to water. Super cheap and 1-2 applications take them out.

Pyrethrum applied 3 times 3 days apart is a good solution.

SM-90, Neem, Azamax, Rosemary oil, SNS-217 and tons of other essential oils are also effective.

In my experience, if you treated them and they came back, then you need to find where they came from initially and eliminate the problem at the source. I have a buddy who constantly battles mites, but he has very healthy/overgrown English garden and the mites out there are bound to make the jump from his outdoor garden to his indoor one. Mites love Juniper bushes. I had a mite problem because they had infested a plant I regularly walked by on my way to my grow. Eliminated that plant and the mites are gone.

5000 ppm of CO2 will kill them too. remove plants first obviously.

have you considered predatory mites? I have never had broad mites but, I wonder if beneficial insects would be a good step to knocking down the population

Are you not spraying them with Botanigard or already inoculated?
If not, keep the humidity lower. Broad mites like humidity.
You can mix the Botanigard with Pyrethrin (veg), it softens them up for the fungus, brings the mortality rate up. Gives you anther mode of action.

Gradevo works in low humidity, probably tank mixes with sulfur as well.
Add neem with surfactant/ soap right in with sulfur, they mix together just fine...watch the ppm, spray sulfur below 80f.

I think it needs to get on the plant and media, do foliar and root drenches, won't last long in water.

From the manufacturer:
It is not recommended to run BotaniGard through any type of hydroponic system. The spores
die overnight and it is unlikely to make contact with all the roots.

Drenching can also be used as an option to apply BotaniGard. Drenching application must be
made to moist soil. Drench thoroughly to avoid channeling or an umbrella effect, and to try and
penetrate the area directly beneath the root crown of the plant or below where the roots and
stem meet.

Delay irrigation for at least 24 hours after making a BotaniGard application

At least 2 or 3 applications are suggested 3 to 5 days apart. Make weekly applications
thereafter until the pest is eliminated.

Forbid 4F by Bayer. Once in veg at 4 weeks. Once at the 12/12 flip. Never use in flower. 6 week half life before it's metabolized out of the plant. You're dealing with an infestation rather than performing IPM. You'll have to spray once and then again 3 days later to interrupt the larval cycle. Inspect 3 days later. Lot's of vendors on ebay sell 1 oz containers. 8oz is nearly $200 and would expire before you use it all. Organic solutions such as Venerate CG and Grandevo CG can be used safely in flower up to harvest day. Best of luck! Mites are a real bitch.
