Broken ballast already germ

Hi guys,

I purchased a ballast and cool tube hood from growace and when it got to me the ballast was defective and hood was the wrong one (they gave me one with wings and I ordered the hood). So I gave them a call and sent them back to be exchanged and today was the expected delivery so I started germination. Well the package comes and all I get is a ballast without the hood, so I'm left unable to use my lights until they sort it out and get the hood to me. My seeds already show roots, and have been placed into the dirt today. What can I do to keep them alive until I get the hood? Will window light be enough? A 26w cfl lamp? Help!

Yeah a cfl will be fine for seedlings. Add 2 if you are concerned... make sure that are close to prevent the reach! Good luck!

Yes, just use some of your cfl's as lights for the seedlings. You can keep them really close to keep them from stretching.

See if you can get some in 6500K.
