I broke off one of my main colas tonight while I was trying to put a bamboo stake in, I duct tapes it back into place for now. Will it come back to life is there anything I can do to help it?

Like a small little strand of hair type thing, and all I could really take a pic of now is the duct tape over the break cause if there's a chance it'll heal I don't really wanna take it off thanks for the quick replies much appreciated

It could survive. Not much different than grafting. The biggest key in its survival is how quick you got it reattached. If you took too long and the broken portion got an air embolism then it probably wont make it. 24 hours or so should tell the tale....

Unless it was completely removed from the plant, if so I've .ever seen em heal. But if there's even the smallest piece still attached your almost guaranteed it will heal. I do it all the time being a bit overzealous with super cropping and lst, sometimes they just snap....but check back in a few days, if its drooping and dead maybe make some hash out of it

How far into flower are you? Even if you get it to survive you have to consider recovery time. Do i have enough time for it to not only heal but continue growth afterward and make it worth my time and effort? If you answered no then dry it out and be careful in the futurd.

This makes sense too, as I am a surgical technologist by trade. I guess there are a few similarities with healing processes, who would've thunk?
