Broken strain! Help!

i have this 15 days old plant, its growing its third set of leaves.. i put it outside this morning, and when i came back the strain was broken and the plant was leaning on the soil, what happened was that the wind pushed my plant on the toothpick that was holding it straight and the strain cracked. so i built this cast to hold it straight.. is the cast a good idea? or should i add more soil to cover the crack? please help

What's a broken strain? Do you mean stem? If so , yes you can tape it up, should grow back with a big knot where it was broken. Almost an accidental supercropping.
