right guys n gals i have a question for you all..

what other reason does a plants hairs turn brown appart from pollination and end of life cycle.???

my supposed AK47's are 20 days into flower and they have brown hairs on most of the bud sites ,,, there is also very little crystal production and i cant see any signs of a hermie.. none of my other flowering plants that are in the same tent have brown hairs so can maybe rule out pollenation for now... can bad genetics cause this problem.???

any help or info will be appreciated peeps ,,,, thanx..

its all in the starin bro. some strains do that, i have had plants pistils (hairs) turn brown after just a few weeks of flowering. also if you are goin by the pistils to tell if your plants are ready for harvest dont, always go by the trichomes. i like to wait till there all a milky color with just a few that are amber.

By all means keep them going!!! Like Detroit says, it's the trichomes (crystals) that indicate when the plant is done, not the "hairs". That whole "look at the hairs" thing is folklore and myth. It's all strain related. I took 'em down once because of that, and man was I pissed off at what I got.

thanx jack ,,, im just not used to the hairs turning at such an early stage.. i also had plants in the past do this and i pulled them because i thought it wasnt going to make it to the end and also possible hermies.. its good to hear that its strain related and not human error m8,, i always go by the trics and harvest around 30-50% amber.

Not to worry!! I was a victim of all the folklore as well. This has been a real learning experience, 'cuz I went into this with a shitload of misinformation as well.
