Brown spots / leaves curling up in DWC

Hi, I'm a newbie grower, so far I had a semi-successful run with soil and wanted to try DWC.
Plant germinated nicely and was growing fine until I noticed some brown spots on the first lower leaves and some edge curling on upper leaves. Did some research and narrowed it down to either root rot or lights being too strong
Plant is 2 weeks old today, I'm using a mars hydro ts1000 dimmed at 50% hanging at 30cm distance, prima klima exhaust fan, oscilating fan pointed at the wall. After noticing the first symptoms I raised it to around 40cm and dimmed it to 40%, but I find it hard to believe that the lights were a problem, I was getting 180PAR readings on photone. Temperature in the reservoir is 21.2-21.5 celsius, temperature in the grow room is around 22-23C. I'm using Advanced Nutrients grow a + b at 1/6 strength + full dose voodoo juice in a 15l reservoir, ph adjusted to 5.8.
Has anyone ran into these same symptons? Is there anything I can do about it? Thanks in advance, hope to contribute with knowledge in the future.

I have My rockwool low in the net pot, covered with the clay pebbles.
No light gets down there. also, My water level is Just below the net pot and the bubbles mist areas. Roots are submerged as they grow but not the bottom of the plant.

Raise your EC

Roots look healthy
Ambient temps a little low as well; aim for 28° or so
Your light meter is not giving accurate results: A TS1000 @ 15" ~= 1000 PAR at 100% power

Hi thanks for the reply, do you think having the rockwool at the top can cause problems then? The bottom of the plant is still not underwater, just the bottom 1/3 of the net pot.

I was afraid that raising the temps in the growbox would heat the reservoir beyond what's acceptable (around 21-22 celsius). For context, first 2 weeks I had only voodoo juice and pure water, I followed a guide and added 1/6 strength nutes the day before yesterday, should I still add a little more? Which EC value should I aim for?
Also, the ts1000 is dimmed at around 40%, but raw power from the plug is around 56W, I think the reading is probably accurate. I read in their guide that seedling / early veg would do well with 30cm (12") at 50%.
Do you think the edges curling up is also related to low EC?

1.2 EC the whole way is what I run...doing DTW... probably could keep close to that for DWC. Anything less or more and I see issues. Just my observation.

I have no experience with AN nutes, but raising EC 50% would be a reasonable start.
 
Hey nice little plant there.. just a thought, any idea what your humidity is in there? The leaves cupping look like they might be trying to get some moisture.. you could try hanging a wet towel in there and see if that settles them down a bit if you don’t have a humidifier.. I’m just starting with DWC myself.. bit of tweaking involved.
