not usually alot of crap.. I find when I use a grinder when I make hash I get a lot more hash.. but the quality isn't that much less that anyone would ever notice.. I can tell a little bit when I make it .. but it tastes the same and you get just as high. Try it once ground up, and the next time don't - then you'll know what works best for you.. for whatever reson there are a ton of little tips to make hash better and easier.. but there's no info anywhere on it.
Tip of the day for hash making - and it makes a big difference in the end product too..
Make sure the material you are making hash with (if not trim) is DRY DRY DRY - as a bone. I have never taken the time to dry out fresh trim.. almost right into the buckets to make hash and clean up... but if I had the space to dry my trim, I totally would.
You will find that your water isn't green anymore..it's almost golden -and your hash you pull will not be green anymore - it'll be nice and golden .. regardless of how aggressively you beat your mash.
and what the heck - tip 2... run it twice. You do your stir, sit, stir, drain... right.. then you take that same plant material and run it again.
I have run it 3 times - several times before -trying to get everything I could from a run, but the amount you get back on your 3rd time isnt' worth the work,time/or ice.
