Bubble Hash Yields

Hey everyone!
I'm fairly new to making bubble (3 months experience) I'm noticing after my drying process (3 weeks in a temp and humidity controlled environment) that my yield is averaging 6% of 1lb. Is this a good yield for finished product? Should I, or could I yield more some how?

I'm using fresh trim from plants that have been cured for at least 10 days.
Agitation of material is 5min every time.
160m/73m/45m bags are used.

Ive run about 7 different strains multiple times.

Yield varies by strain. I have some that consistently hit 10% the others are lucky to hit 8%.

Are you monocropping?

I am monocropping. So far I've run Lohan, GDP, Grape God, and Larry OG. My lowest return on a batch was 4% and highest was 6.5% with a cumulative average total of 6%. I use a drill and paint mixer, and run my material no more than 4 times per batch. I always make sure the amount of water I use is more than the amount of ice that I use.
 
Ahhhh. It's the mixer. I use a modified washing machine.

Harder to get quality from the washer at first but after a few runs it's golden.

Your insight is most appreciated! Would you mind explaining why it's harder to get quality from a washing machine?
 
The default settings run the material harder or more strongly. Results in more plant material and a lower quality finished product. Once you get used to running the machine soft you can get high quality IWE.

Your method is more gentle than a washing machine on the default settings. Also have greater control over the agitation. It just takes longer with a smaller yield.

Would def recommend a washing machine. Worth the investment IMO.

You need to grow charas strains to maximize your yeild. Afghan, Himalayan and Nepalese strains are the best.
