Bud concerns - Is it mold?

I harvested the tops and let the rest of the plant continue maturing. I'm a bit worried that some of the biggest remaining buds are starting to darken. Is it mold, or just slightly purple buds? I don't see any "fur" that suggests a mold infection, that's why I'm confused.


The plant has been flowering for 62 days now, almost 9 weeks. The breeder (Royal Queen Seeds) says that it's a fast finishing strain.



Should I be worried about my darkening buds?

I'm no expert, but with most molds if you take a q tip or cotton swab, and rub it on the spots you think are mold. The mold will come off onto the swab.

Not seeing anything to suggest you have rot. But you cant always see it. Tug a leaf coming out of where you suspect and if it comes out with little to no effort then it is. Open up a bud without damaging it and look for grey or brown inside.

Personally I doubt you have rot.

Hell no you only have the good ole Frosty infection. LOL.

Nothing wrong there at all she looks very tasty. Keep up the good work and it will be better each time.

No mold. You can tell when you do have it as the leaves in the bud die where the mold is.also if it feels dry to the touch the bud will be dead inside
