Bud rot

Hey all I did my morning check of my plant this morning and found 1 bud with a little bud rot. I figure i have another 2 maybe 3 weeks left before I am at 20% of the trichs are amber. I am growing outside I live just east of Toronto. Dies anyone have any suggestions on what I should do. Should I consider harvesting a little early to save my crop or should wait and see how it goes? Any suggestions will be welcome and a big help towards my decision.

Thank you in advance.

I don't know what others do but I cut the cancer out then I spray the spot I did surgery on with isopropyl, kills the spores instantly and where the mould was turns black like you marked it with a sharpie.
Unfortunately this will be a uphill battle tgat you will have to be on top of daily or youll have mush for buds but worth it. I've been battling budrot (botrytis) in my area for years and have had to switch to indica hybrids as opposed to pure indicas to counter my climate and still get my indica. If yer willing to fight it go for it! i also bring my infected pant undercover if it rains and I get a extension cord and fan and keep it on the plant to promote airflow and evaporation of moisture but dunno if you can get a fan on yours. A lot of folks tell you to harcest but the technique I use works for me and is well worth it even though I may lose 10-15 % of my yield but it's better than smoking baby buds. You'll get more anyways at the end rather than harvesting early.

Look for wilted leaves looks kinda like wilted lettuce if you see any open up the bud site and cut out the infected area you'll catch it early that way.

I wouldnt use ISO...it will quickly dissolve any trichomes it touches.
I'm not spraying the plant I'm spraying a small area on the infected site which is a tiny area on the stem after removal of infected bud, Bud rot vs a few melted trichs, it's pretty simple and ive been doing it for years havnt melted all the trichs on my plants yet.
@ruby fruit you've seen my technique at work and smoked my bud, shed some light brother.

outside, its mostly from another plant or source near by, it spreads soO fast.

cut it off like a arm or leg south or cheese.

I juts had to cut down most of my outdoor because of this and caterbasterds, early too I wont know anything until its fully cured and ready for my tester to toke.

How so? ISO is/can be used to make dabs
Just the small area on the stem that is grey I just use a small pump sprayer the grey mould turns black maybe one or 2 small pumps it's not a iso bath. No way I'd harvest early if I can stay on top of it. Note the black area on the stem after iso treatment in the photo, that is dead spores that were grey.
