I use a 10 inch strainer, and dunk it down in two bigger bowls of water. For whole limbs, use two five gallon buckets.
I wash mine right after I harvest. You want to get them drying as quick as possible. Some air movement is good, but you don't want a fan blowing right on them.
Again, I am talking about the buds you have trimmed the rot out of. I have never used bud with rot actually on it. But even looking at them several times, there is always buds that turn brown when drying, while the rest stay green. I toss those too. One way I judge them, if you squeeze them between finger and thumb, if they stay squished, they are bad. It should be like a sponge, reforming it's shape.
