Buds have are a dark or washed out appearance

Ive notice that my buds this run appear dark or washed out. I'm wondering if anyone know what factors might contribute to this appearance. Attached is a picture of a bud from this grow along with two pictures from my last grow for comparison.

are they all the same strain? from seed or from clones? have their been any changes in your space such as climate, lighting or growing medium? any signs of stress or disease? we need way more info to even make a guess and even then it may be something as simple as phenotypical variation or warmer/colder temps.

No clue hows it smoke?
