buds to dry but stems not

Hey guys i got a few shitty pics on tese buds i picked about 2 days ago that are real dry/flaky to the touch but the stems arent realyl snapping....i put them into a jar to hope to get moisture back into them...heres how i dried them....i took a box put a string in it with 1 hole on the bottom on each side and let it dry i check it everyday and today i touched the bud and it was real dry to the touch..when i harvest my plant i dont want it to all get like this i want to dry it right...i mean i only got about an ounmce dry weight on this plant so whts the best way to dry it? oh and they are in the box in my basement...and its winter here and snowing outside...the r/h i know is real low about 29% but will this do that? and the smell on the buds are greassy and earthy i dont like it...on the plant they smell real dank but after drying a little bit it kinda dissappointing here is a video of it at the 8 week mark 2 days ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiMjqAY91RU

puttin in the jar was agd move m8, maybe put damp tissue as well ,, but prob no need to real small nugs will dry quicker than ya big buds bt still 2 days is a bit quick. do u have somewhere else u can hang em, small closet or summit?

actually i can hang them in a closet but its around 60 degres farenheit in there and low humidity... would that be better than a cardboard box?

Come on people this is a man in need of some harvesting/curing problems solving

if you want to add a lil moisture back to them just throw a couple wet mj leaves in the jar with the bud thats what i do if it gets a lil to dry just add a couple untill ur desired moisture level is reached hope that helps ohh yea the smell should get a lil stronger as u cure it so dont panic yet it takes time ...widow

60f is a bout what 23.c ? if so thats fine m8, humidity can be increased by sticking a bucket of water in there as well but u prob wont need that at all,,,,, also try to trim the leaves a bit less as they will shrink back into the bud anyways and will help th ebud dry out slower, gd luck m8 u be ok, like matey said if they do dry too much then u can always put moisture bck through curing process, enjoy

thank you,so Do you think it is ok to dry in a cardboard box then? or should i hang it in the 60f closet?

I would hang them in the closet to dry. The 60F is perfect but remember to put a fan blowing past them.

closet m8 hang em upside down, jus leave the stem on and hang that over a string,,, i put a fan blowing in the closet not on the buds, jus 2 make a gd air exchange...

ok cool well ill hang em in the closet and hope all goes well i was going to cut each branch off and hang em like that..after a slim manicure of course...or should i manicure it in the pot and hang the whole plant>

first off bro you gotta let the herbs grow all the way before you chop them down the stem is not gonna dry at the same time if the stem is 80% of whats on the plant. Dont take me the wrong way now good job on gettin them that far patience is the key bro i gotta post on my first crop check it out. keep on growin

No this is not my harvest...,thansk sweetleaf,and i harvested 1 of the big buds today and it was ready for my tasting 30% amber rest milkyi just flushed again after picking it check new thread
