bug i.d please

I am growing in organic soil and wondering if is this a beneficial predatory mite or a bad bug?

Not seen them on my plants they are on the outside of my pot, not in huge numbers maybe about 15/20 of them.

Halfway through the video you can see the bug appears to be a light brown colour as it moves away from the light.

Ouch looks like a spider mite to me. Do you see any webbing?

Someone should be around soon that has another idea. Best of luck figuring this out.

Probably a beneficial mite like hypoaspis miles. Do they get more active after watering?

This is my guess.

organic soil, probably beneficial.

im in a very similar position. growing indoor, organic soil (with mulch if that matters). ive got a shit ton of those things on the outside of my pot, can see them on my soil also. cant see them well enough to I.D them. i have 3 other pots in my tent that dont seem to have anything on them, today was the first day i caught it but the infestation looks more than a day old.

after a quick search im thinking they might be soil mites (beneficial), they live on decaying matter like compost or feed on fungi or bacteria. the info i was reading stated not to kill them as theyre good for soil health. However this infestation is more than im comfortable with so im here looking for advice.

my plant is growing well and doesnst seem bothered at all, in fact it appears to be very happy and healthy to me. im just wondering what i should do at the moment, my plants still in veg and ive taken it out of my tent as a precaution. appreciate any help with the matter.

Mould mites aka flour mites aka cheese mite.

google them and have a look and then come back and thank me lol.

LOL I'm obviously not! I am very happy about that! I hope it works out for him and I can live without mite ID skills.
