Hi I am currently building a 6x11 grow room in my garage and on the outside walls i have already put osb but on the inside im thinking about instead of using osb and putting up mylar or painting it white theres this stuff at home depot that is 1/8" thick and its basically a thin sheet of bare particleboard on one side and white almost plastic on the other side. im thinking it will be cleaner and its a little cheaper. I plan on insulating the walls if that makes any difference and i will be fine hanging things on the walls ill just make sure to put studs where i need them because i still have the back wall and roof to build on this room. here are some pictures to give you an idea of what im doing and what this stuff is.IMAG0557.jpgIMAG0558.jpgIMAG0559.jpgIMAG0556.jpg

and here are the plants im vegging right now in my current pandafilm vegroom. I need to make this room fast so i can transplant the smaller ones to bigger pots and have room for them all. its gonna be 20 plants in 10 gallon pots 2 plants per pot.

You don't necessarily need to put something on the other side. maybe save some cash. My cabinet doesn't have a second panel of osb. Just one on the outside. however - I like that thin product.

Looks good to me. Seems to be high gloss finish on it so you can wipe it down. Keeping the humidity down will help with mold. Plus in the future if you really have problems then you can paint it again with an anti-fungal/mol bathroom paint or just hang mylar against it. Good luck.

dont use a vapor barrier except the wrap around the exterior of your building. use a good dehumidifier, and keep temps correct. I dont even duct/cool my 1000 watt lamps, (glass removed) in a sealed room,c02, scrubbers, with no issues
white flat paint like killz has been very successful for me

It's a bad picture but that stuff looks like what we call particle board. Should be fine. Kinda a pain to screw anything into though. Like you said though...find a stud.
