Burnt Canopy

Hi everyone, I recently had a great spurt of growth and under estimated the height of the plants, they went too far up and were burnt pretty badly at some points. Can I FIM these off? Im about 2-3 weeks into flower and not quite sure if this will cause hermie or what. I def dont want these dead nodes taking up energy so I want to try and fix this asap. Any help? Or suggestions? If rhyou think they are burned beyond growing buds u can cut em, it's not ideal, but the next nodes will step up. I've topped in the first week or 2 of flower and dint notice a gap Iin my plant or anything where there were unexpected wimpy buds, Im just pretty sure you want to avoid it if possibly.
