Buying a premade hydro system

Finished my first outdoor grow, sold off my weed and looking to move indoors for the next round. Thing is, I started looking at the pricing for building my own kits, the pumps timers and such and for just a few hundred more I can get what looks like a decent premade system. If you wanna take a look keep in mind I'm not going to growing full plants- they're going into flower right from clone (so smaller size is fine).

I'm considering two right now first is the bottom one on this site- the aeroflo

If you guys use or could recommended other systems for consideration it'd be awesome- if not, which would you buy.

most everyone will tell you to build your own system. and really it is what is best. you can tailor it to your room size and needs. save a LOT of money. and its fun to boot. Most of the sites are selling shit they build at home depot anyway.

but unless you have seen one working in action it is kinda intimidating. i bought my first one. a rainforest 66. its a sweet system. but i could have made a better suited system to my room for much less money. but once you buy one you will never need to again.

or just go to youtube.com and search diy hydro

How many watts will you be under? I have those waterfarm buckets but am currently using a home depot built nft system. I would say make your own, especially for small plants hydro indoor, you could make an ebb and flow table with pots of coco mixed with perlite, I made one once and was stoked, a little trimming and change the water once a week, that was it! building your own is for sure the way to go, though i can promise you will flood your carpet at least once, it is well worth it

LMAO, 200 bucks for a pump and some plastic totes. Pretty much any hydro system on the market can be done for better for cheaper if you have the time and energy. Especially DWC, that can just be made for dollars at the highest quality.

That system out preforms a walmart DWC setup.. the pump is 1200 gph.. that cant be bought at walmart.. 18gal Hard black plastic. better quality than Rubber maid.. and the AIRSTONE IS CUSTOM.. CANNOT BE BOUGHT from walmart so your wrong.. This 200 price is well worth it

thoes pumps alone are 65-85. airstone is better quality than any other you use =/ and the shape of the bucket is somewhat perfect.. so some home made one would not out preform this for a few bucks.. you would be spending same price if not more.

1200ghp pump can be ahd for extremely cheap, as can the totes, and custom airstones, wowzers, my airstones just work perfectly as they are :) And why do you keep saying walmart? you can buy things from plenty of shops that are not walmart which have a much larger selection.. Fact of the matter is i can build an equally performing system for a lot cheaper. Or do you have some kind of scientific chart showing how this custom airstone managed to double a yield or something?

its not a normal airstone its pores are smaller.. and the Pump is an industrial pump, MORE AIR BIGGER PLANTS so you cant cut corners their. the Tote speaks for itself. Google yourself some pics to post that are reasonable and can be bought anywhere =/ . with raised Lid riveted to pour water over the nets. =/ 200 is good price man.. 4 plants more than 14 ounces IMAG0109.jpg

pores are smaller, like a diffuser? and as said, i an pick up a high end pump for very cheap. I'm sorry but i can build a comparable system for pennies that will yield no different to that. 3.5oz a plant is not overly impressive, i pulled that from my little runt of a sweettooth pulled out of her coc and chucked in a £5 dwc bucket. If you have the money to spend then sure, it'll do you well, but it's not some sort of unbeatable system.

until you google me some home made that looks/works as well NEGATOR :) if Money isnt an Issue to which ppl who take marijuana seriously may feel. a Stable system beats home made any day..its Built for it from the Hood/top to the Bottom, and you cannot buy a industrial pump under 50bucks like that. maybe if you ebay it but any cheap 1300gph pump is plastic.. mine is all metal and wont fail me =/

Lol, so the moral of the story is you bought one and don't like hearing that they are a rip off :D i'll stick with my DIY buckets ta :)

I have chepa buckets, cheap pumps, cheap airstones and they appear to perform just as well as this system, i mean 3.5-4 ounce per plant, easily done, i achieved around that with a shitty little 10l dwc bucket and an abused coco->dwc girl.

If you have the time and knowledge then build your own. You will understand it better and can customized it to your grow area. Don't pay the companies unless you don't have the time.

youll be customizing alot of plastic to be able to refill your res by simply dumping water on the Hood. im just saying No RUBBERMAID 18gal compares with this tote.. =/

And you bet what are prettier, your buckets? :lol:

My plants grow from 3 foot to 6 foot, i have to refill once a week. I'm curious as to the relevance of these questions.
