Cabinet Lighting Dilemma

So I have a cabinet in which I am looking to grow some of this marijuana stuff I hear a lot of fuss about. Anywho, cab details, 20"x26"x40", question is this:
LED vs. HPS

LED:
i have a good deal on two 90w UFOs (LED), used but from a decent manufacturer not fake chinese shit $150 total

HPS:
400W with cooltube, yo-yo's
$240.00

I am worried about the HPS because it is such a small cab, so I'd need to get one hell of an exhaust and i'm running it in my room so I don't want an annoying whining sound from the fan. So id probably have to drop another 200 on a whisperline or something. Whereas the LED emits very little heat and would sidestep the whole overheating issue.

Basically, i need someone to help me choose. Any ideas RIU?

Both are good ideas, but i would go with the hps just because you will have better results in the long run. Even if youj have to buy a good fan, its worth it. I would also think about a bigger cabinet, i have a 36" wide x 24" deep x 84" high which works out great for me. I currently run the 400w also and like my results verses my original setup (150w), plus if you have a bigger space you can veg out longer.

What kinda lights are you going with poptcorn ?

My first grow is being lit by a single 90W UFO plus 4x26W CFL to fill in the corners, give some heat and spectrum fill. The base size is a 30" diameter table in a 30"x30" bathroom shower so not much bigger than yours. Link to my journal is in my sig. It's almost done, going to start chopping today.

Yea i'm really trying to find a bigger cab, i just don't wanna have to go ikea and drop 200 on another. I'm searching ebay, kijiji, and craigslist every day hoping to find a decent one.

Still unsure, my roommates know I'm growing but not sure how happy they'll be about the increased energy bill each month, so LED wins on that front but i'm scared of buying cheap chinese shit that doesn't work.

Man just read your journal from start to finish. Your plants loook sick dude. Also i'm definitely doing some research on urine, never in my life would i have guessed that would do anything but kill the plants, judging by what my dog does to my grass. One question: where did you order your light from? (right from sunshine systems?)

Right, my LED is Sunshine Systems but I actually bought it from my local grow shop which carries the brand. There are other LEDs out there with more watts per $ but I like being able to take this back to a real store if something goes wrong and so far nothing has.

well you could always go with cfl's which dont put much heat off and they are cheap to run. Also can always add, more, and adjust them to your liking. Plenty of info on this site about them. Personaly I go with t5 ho for veg and hps for flower. But there is many many choices dont sell your self short

I've decided to step up my timeline a bit, and start very soon, going to buy some fem seeds from a local seed bank. Going to try urine as fertilizer, and potentially add a bloom additive during flowering. I'm just doing a small grow so going to stick to cfl's for now, then order an hps after the summer is over.

I dont really agree with the urine thing, but people say it makes a difference. I think it all depends on the person, what they are drinking and the life style plays a big roll. Its just a little risky i think, you dont really know the levels so you can burn your plamnt big time if your not carefull.
