Cal mag no npk

is there any cal mag for zero N-P-K? Using r/o and I feel my current supplement suite leaf 2-0-0 is burning my plant a little. I would like to only feed once or twice a week but durning the off days watering it with 2-0-0 might be over kill?

*I* use dolomite lime. Cal+Mag and no NPK. Just need to apply once per grow or 3.

Use oyster shell flour if you need cal and mag. Its water soluble. Dolomite lime takes up to 2 years to break break and has the wrong ratio of cal and mag for plants.

OSF is over 95% Ca, where's the Mg?

Not arguing (too much), but for 'container' mixes like we use, I've just found dolomite to work better. Agricultural (field), use is a different ball of wax.

Oyster shell flour is 3% mag. That's all you want. Too much mag will bind up soil and cause calcium and potassium lock out

Did you test your soil? Dolomite lime typically takes 2 years to break down. You probably didnt even need it. I doubt it did anything for your soil.

Most of us don't need to test our soil to know we need mg. The plants tell us.

I use molasses for mg. 8%

That's ignorant. So if you have a mag deficiency caused by a lock out from too much calcium or too much potassium you would add more mag not knowing that theres already plenty in the soil.

That happens to people that go around adding 96% calcium products to correct mg deficiency. Which is the advice you gave the thread starter.
But continue name calling.

Ignorance means lack of knowledge. Every person on earth is ignorant in one area or another. The fact that you lack the knowledge in this area does infact mean you are ignorant to this subject. Its not name calling at all.

96% calcium carbonate is actually 38.4%
elemental calcium.

Dole lime has the wrong ratio, too much mag. So once it breaks down it can cause calcium lockout.

We're only adding 1/2 cup to 1 cup of oyster shell flour per cubic foot of soil. Even though its soluble theres no where near 38% calcium in the soil.

That's all fine and we'll the fact still remains if you need mg you apply it. Not damn near 100% calcium when the plant is in need of a mg.

No.

1-OSF isnt remotely water soluble.
2-the ratio of Ca Mg needed by a plant will be dependent upon the substrate so there is no correct ratio for every garden.
