cali id and rec card question

hey there people was just wondering if I was out of state and used a family members address to get a california id to get my rec card would it work? I hear its really easy to get it and would just like some input on it. Just dont know if they make you bring anything to the DMV to show you live there or can you just give them an address???

The doctor who gives the recommendation to use cannabis will require proof of residency in the State. Then once you get the recommendation, the dispensary will require you to have a California ID to sell you medicine.

Not quite accurate... My uncle with a Tennessee DL/ID got a 3 month recommendation from my 215 Dr. while he was on vacation and skiing last Spring. The clubs would not let him in without a state ID but the Dr. can and will give the 215 forms to out-of-state`rs.

Well, please allow me to restate my post and start it with "The reputable doctor who ..."

I have called a bunch of places in Tahoe as I will have a Nevada MMJ card soon and asked them if I could get a doctor referral from CA and then buy there since its way closer then Las vegas which is the only place I know has some type of disp now in Nevada.

They all told me it wasn't possible you need a Cali ID and a proof or RES.
I am sure there is always somewhere but would be hard I think.

I would assume his reputation is sound, he has been handing out 215 rec's for the last 16 years. He is also a Medical Board certified physician and surgeon, as well as, graduation of medical school with honors.
