I've heard a rumor that says California will only allow indoor grows? I've read of various cities trying this, but haven't seen anything regarding the entire state. Did I miss something?

I don't think that would happen if Prop 19 had passed. Now that it didn't pass, there's no telling what will happen.

The tactic is to prohibit "pot farms" which is possibly folks who are growing 99 plants.

The truth is we have a lot of greedy folks and we have had a few deaths over medical gardens.

One tool that has been used successfully is land use and zoning.

So the lack of clear rules on how people can grow their cannabis opens the doors to "emergency rules" which in most cases become permanent rules since it's the No people who are banning.

This is an old graphic but it gives you an idea where in the State the No people control the local Jurisdictions with places like Amador county now going with prohibiting outdoor grows.

We have tools against us don't we.

Edit: Also a ban means Federal dollars for eradication!

That is probably the thing they want most.

Here is Amador county who just emergency banned and will hold a town meeting next month.

Get real, come out of the Cannabis Closet and fight!

I'm guessing that the rumor I heard may be an exaggeration of what has occurred in a few cities.

I haven't found anything confirming such a ban.

hey im all for them shutting down these pot farms.

Half of them are strictly for profit jerkoffs in the first place. Besides it'll free up some of the market and overall improve the quality of mj floating around (no more 50 lbs of grade C and more room for indoor grade A...can't complain there).

the only ones ready to have a heartattack over this are in mendo or other places where outdoor grows run rampant.

this is the gov't way of keeping the mj trade in check in cali as a good bulk of cali mj comes from outdoor grow ops in the first place...thats why the market in cali is crap come harvest time for outdoor grows.

The Sacramento City Council is currently considering banning all outdoor growing due to the large amount of crime that has happened this year with regards to rippers and guns. They have tabled the issue for now due to the fact that the feds have stepped in and are in the process of trying to close down the dispensaries. Bottom line is that this will probably be a county by county decision.

I personally know one very large outdoor grower who got a "courtesy" visit from the feds, state and local law enforcement this past summer. The local cops claimed they were showing the feds how a "proper" large outdoor grow should be done. I called bullshit, I think they were doing an intel run. Bottom line, dude never got busted but the fucking feds have a way of saying, ok, you grew 99 plants this year then adding the next years plant count to the first years and wallah, you're busted.

Great! I need some insurance for my indoor grow.

Actually, if Prop 19 had passed, we would not be having the troubles we are experiencing now.

Actually, 5X5 area is not enough for anybody and was a way of only letting corporations do large grows from large permits that cost alot of money. essentially pushing out all the little guys that actually pionered the whole of cannabis.

I guarentee that the folks I know up in the mountains happen to be living a meegur life. And are not running huge pot farms. Just trying to make a decent living.

Unfortunately out here we have an ordinance in effect already. Mainly out here they are just tired of the thugs and punks robbing dispensaries and shooting people at grow sites....Oh yeah and the growers who grow on other peoples farmland. They even have the farmers out here working with the police sorta like a task force. I'm not sure if that's the right term but I'm using it lol. Shit so many damn people out here grow without MMJ recommendations that it's not going stop much. Shit they just busted some Paisa Mexicans out here in Kingsburg growin 400 plants out of an abandon house(they got busted while packaging their latest harvest).....If it took them that long for that large of a grow operation to get busted MMJ card holders need not worry. This is one of those tough times for patients, when you see those "random greenhouses" going up around these parts. It's just not fair.....You can go to the doctor any day of the week and get "medicines" that induce vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, internal bleeding, some even cause minor delusional thoughts.....but I can't even have my 1 medicine that fixes all those problems......well with the exception of diarrhea lol.
