California is drying up faster than Barbara Streisand's vagina

California would not have a water problem if not for LA....>:(
The above gif is from Oroville! I have seen it low but that is DAMN LOW. The lowest I have seen before was in early 2000, the marina slip was about seventy five meters away from actual water, these pictures are much lower then my memories.

That underground channel is a bit like getting spit on after we have been abused, thanks Jerry.

And we keep electing these loons
at some point printing money to live beyond their means will be over and that will be a bitter pill to swallow for the libs . making promises that they cant pay for is how they keep getting reelected . dont get me wrong its nice to have things but only if they can be paid for .

I can agree with the golf courses, but the vineyards are creating something of value with that water, not recreation like golf and swimming. Which are things people can easily sacrifice in order to benefit us all.
I have 16 trees on my property and in the off season fall, winter and spring the sun hangs
lower in the sky thus my trees shade my pool so there is very little evaporation during this long period then you have the rains that help keep my pool full.

My house is one with the Earth and contains it's own self sustained Eco system. thumbsup.gif

Yeah, It's crazy! I live 15 minutes from lake oroville, and I don't remember it ever being this low:-(
I just moved up here 4 yrs ago, but have visited family up here for a very long time.
I also just got back from Palm Springs 2 hours ago, and saw all of those signs like that which UncleBuck posted.
It's soooo very complicated.
On a similar note, the salmon are finally showing up in decent numbers. Yayyyyyyy! Only three fucking weeks left to fish for them(on the feather). Fucking bunk. Going fishing in the morning though;-)

you are right , many liberal bastions are going broke
It's both. The liberal bastions may be bleeding out quicker, but the conservative bastions make candy from thin air too.

If you pay me to vote for you... how much we talking? We all have our price, for some it's promises of food stamps and better free living conditions, for others it's tax breaks and other empty promises.

It's a cluster these days. If you don't want us spending like loons, you have to side with the "God hates Fags" crowd. There are fiscally conservative and socially liberal candidates, but they get so marginalized by the mainstream we rarely see them elected.

The "Greatest Generation" certainly approached life with a different attitude today, but individual responsibility and liberty was seen as something worth dying for back then. What made us great was blowing up all of the major manufacturing competition around the globe so we could afford to charge enough for goods so someone with a 3rd grade education could put someone through college leaning on a broom.

I don't think we'll ever see that again.
