Im starting my first closet system and i want to keep my plants in soil, with a drip system. I just planted my seeds yesterday in seed starters. After I transplant them(after they've sprouted a good few inches), What should the watering schedule be? I'm tryin to find out the light schedule as well. What ph level should the water be? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

No one will be able to tell you a schedule, it will all depend on what mixture you go for, with drip irrigation you would probably do better to go for more drainage to allow more feeding to make the most of the drip irrigation,

I would water once and let it go for a while until the soil feels pretty moist, then wait for it to almost dry out and do the same again

Light - (most reccomend) 18/6 (light/dark) although some prefer 24/0.
Ph - 6.5-7.0
Watering - Not really sure, never seen any one do a soil AND drip system, although sounds very interesting to follow, but yeah, make sure it has plenty of drainage (could be like a soil op with some hydro feeding characteristics), otherwise I would imagine you'd drown your plants. Generally in a normal soil grow, you'd wait till the top 2 in. of soil are dry.

Depending how big the container you're starting out in is, I might wait more than just a few inches to transplant. one, you want a good strong root ball (w/o getting rootbound). and 2, it's better if the plant has at least 3 set of true leaves (should probably have one set of 5 finger leaves min.). it can be done earlier (I actually did on my current grow) but wiating will help the plant not get too shocked.

Also, VERY IMPORTANT, read the growfaq:

it will answer questions you didn't know you had (which will save you alot of stress in the future, trust me)

Welcome to the forum. Why would you want to use soil with a drip system? If you do this you will have to use it as a run to waste system or buy extra filters to protect your pump or clean the pump daily. If you are that geeked about running a drip system maybe you should try a different medium, like coco-coir or flock rookwool. I had three tables set up on drip system, two still are. One has been changed to flood and drain already and the other two will be soon.
Oh bye the way if you really are going to use a drip system, better buy a reverse osmosis system as well or plan on soaking the drippers once a week to clean them. Make sure you place your plants well as moving them because of height issues is a pain in the back. In order to move them you have to remove the dripper from the pot and place it out of the way, remove the dripper from the second plant and place it out of the way. Now lift the pots and switch them, then reinstall the drippers. Guess you could say, while a drip system looks nice and sounds impressive, its not the best. For a soil grow you will need a digital timer so you can set it to come on every two or three days. Good luck. VV
