Can bad genetics be more prone to powdery mildew??

Hello couldnt find a awnser on the forums or anywhere for that matter. I recently noticed some PM on smoe of my plants in veg area. They are moms and were clean since I popped them from seed so im guessing my lack of airlfow or overwater caused it. But ive had these going for months and have already flowered and cut clones from them and none of them have it anywhere and neither do other plants in veg area.. So my question is it possible to cut too many cuttings of a plant and cause it to stress out and be like more prone to getting Powdery mildew. Even one of my TGA cheesequake girls I grew from seed got it. the other is fine and in same area. Ive sinced then cleaned out the whole room and wiped down and moved the ones I saw affected into another room. I then removed the few affect fan leaves off the one and sprayed them with NPK PM wash . Any input?

When I or or any breeder makes a list of desirable traits for a bred plant to have, my top 3 always has to have good resistance to molds and fungi...as there are just so many types of molds and fungi out there already waiting to ruin a hard earned crop, heavy use of Neem Oil is a great way to fight off the Pm angel along with reducing humidity as much as you can, in answer to your question yes it is possible, but in your actual case I would be more inclined to think it was location location ....location, you can remove existing excess spores by washing everything down with hot water and 10% bleach solution ...or consider the vid.

Hey thx for the response. I have since cleaned out the room and the remaining plants in veg area seem to be strait. I picked up a bottle seranade and did a light foliage spray on every plant to be safe in veg and flower area . I also ordered some eagle20 online since cant be purchased here locally so i hope i can get it shipped. I'm also wondering even though its a sealed light system i am drawing from my outside window thats slightly cracked going thru a small ac filter i rigged into window/wood . through 2 1Ks then up into attic . Im wondering if i should seal window entirely and just draw and exhaust into attic since i run light at night. in norcal if that helps.

What's your room humidity? If it's not staying below 60% throughout the entire grow cycle then any stuff you spray is just going to be a band-aid fix.

try worm casting tea spray as a fungus preventative.
Castings Teas suppress disease and pests on vegetation and will boost the crucial microbial activity known as the Soil Food Web (SFW) which is so crucial to organic soils. Perhaps the most widely used and known use of teas is to suppress/eliminate black spot and powdery mildew on roses. By spraying Castings Tea on the surface of leaves, you are doing two things. First, you coat the leaf with millions if not billions of microbes all competing for a food source. Some, for instance protozoa, eat bacteria which may be eating decaying plant material. Others eat other microbes and their wastes. In the end, there are not enough resources for the harmful molds and fungi to flourish. In addition, you are also coating the leaf with a protective surface that protects the leaf cells from attack by foreign spores or airborne microbes. Finally, by inoculating the soil with Castings Tea, microbes break down nutrients for uptake into plants thereby increasing plant health and the plant’s own disease resistance/suppression.
