Can CFL bulbs touch each other?

I'm setting up my first grow box in a 32 gallon plastic storage container. I have a power strip with 4 CFL bulbs plugged into it. However, the bulbs are touching each other.

Will this be a problem and or be a fire hazard? I know they still get pretty hot.

Its best if they don't touch. I've never had mine touching, but they were very very close together with no problems in my experience. But you can easily get a Y connector and split them so they are not that close to eachother.

if you cant get a y connector, which would be best then get 2 cheap double adapters so the buls are zig zag up n down if you know what i mean.
