Can hydro taste as good as soil??

hey guys done several grows with soil and then i moved to dro... i was wondering if i can get the same quality of bud... everyone seems to say hydro makes it taste like poop.... i just want to hear what some experienced people have to say

The taste might be a little better in soil but quality... absolutely not. Hydro can put out better bud than soil in some cases and soil can put out better bud than hydro. But to say that coco and soil will always give better quality bud over hydro just shows how little you know. Thanks for the laugh :clap:

im not sure of what is better and dont want to start any shit there is always fired up debates on that subject

but i read that all cup contenders grow in soil why is that

Soil can bring out much more flavor than hydro, that is true. But quality? There is no way in hell that is true. They grow in the soil to bring out the flavor, if you look at my last post I never said that the taste isn't better. But quality wise it just doesn't make any sense that a plant grown in soil would produce more THC than one grown in hydro. Those fools at the cannabis cup couldn't tell the difference between hydro and soil grown weed I can guarantee that

first off let me just say all cannabis cup are in soil cuz taste is a part of quality getting real high on weed that taste and smells like chemicals mmmm good quality so as far as the lights go i do a 10x10 ' veg area with 180watts so if u to dumb to relize the future have a good time in the past dino so that being said let me just say :finger: and have a nice day:hump:

i got nothing against led's....for vegg'ing only.

haha please let me know how big your buds are and how long it takes for that plant to finish flowering.

I'll accept the future when its here, and right now grow LEDs are a young technology. Early adopters can pay their high prices. I'll be sure to swoop in when they're more powerful and larger arrays can be had for cheaper.

lol ^^^^like this hey man its just my opinion leds are the shit but u r right the tec needs to be improved they dont flower no where near as good as hps i dont flower with led so i dunno how long buds would take i assume not any longer just fluffy buds as oppsoe tonice tight dense ones i was thinking of trying it out to see but for now they are the best veg light on the market

i know most of the best tasting bud and almost every amsterdamn grow i have ever seen uses soil... there must be a reason behind it... i hate when people get offended so easy on here.. everyones got something to say or add so just be preceptive

first off taste is a verrrry subjective, I am sure that a plant in good lovingly prepared compost, grown out doors, will beat the pants off a CFL closet hydro grow using walmart/home depot nutes. But that is like comparing wild caught salmon just before the spawn to farm raised. Tom is right bad weed comes from bad growers. hell look at all the mexican super grow weed, it is shit. It was grown out doors certainly in soil too....

There are also loads of flavor enhancing additives for hydro if one wants to take a stab at it. I am guessing most dont

and BigKuz I had 2 lil hydro seedlings that were maybe 6-8 inches that were so resinous and stinky i had to go make a carbon filter months before I was ready to flower.

What it comes down to is some people can grow and some people can not.

Some people do wonders with shitty soil and shitty nutes, and some people get shitty results with the most expensive shit they can find.

I doubt that essential oil production is going to vary much between two healthy clones from the same mother grown side by side one in dirt and the other in aero.

I laugh everytime I hear about all this sweetener etc etc etc shit. Your plants have a barrier for everything except the stuff they need. It is called a root system. Maybe add some carbs for your myco herd but past that plants are fairly specific about what they will and won't take in.

The plant produces the flavor, not some nutrient company.
