Can I breed by combining a regular seed with a feminised seed?

Hi guys:

I have a question about growing plants to get seeds.

Is there anything wrong with combining a regular seed with a feminised seed? Example would be a male from a regular seed batch with a female - coming from a feminised seed batch.

What kinds of seeds would they produce?

nah it works if im thinking right one of the phenos ul have will be an auto and the other phenos will just be shorter flowering time dnt quote me on this thow im new to breeding also

I have dusted fem autos with reg pollen no problem.the seeds produced same raito as all reg. meaning I got some like mom some like dad resr was a mix.i did it to cut down flower time later down the rd:bigjoint:

I'm glad it worked for you. I too wanted to shorten the finishing time for the area where I live. I have a short season of 4 months for outdoor growing.

They will be reg seeds with roughly a 50/50 ratio of male/females.
The auto trait is from the cannabis ruderalis specie, and the auto trait cannot be present without those genetics.

I'm kind of confused by what you just wrote Greatwhite north. The feminised plant that I would like to use is not an auto. It's just a feminised plant. So I won't have any auto traits in the seeds I create is that correct? Thanks.

Correct. If it is a reg male and fem female it will be a mix of male and female seeds.

The auto trait would require you to breed it in.

And to further expand on what GWN said; once you've bred in ruderalis into your hybrid strain, you will need to BX those F1s to ensure most of the genetics will in fact "auto flower". Your F1s will not contain all ruderalis.

Obtaining a strain of all consistent auto flowers is difficult. And doing so with good genetics that are resistant to mold and other diseases is even more difficult.

Long story short, fuck auto flowers. Stick with regular seeds, make a mother, take cuttings and put them in flower right away.

You have a fem plant, and you want to produce auto flowering feminized seeds from it?

No see4. I just want to cross two specific strains to make a hybrid that works in my environment. The seeds I am hoping to create from that experiment will be regular seeds, which are _not_ feminised. One of the plants I want to breed with is a haze and it only comes in feminized seed form. There is no involvement in my plan to use an auto strain. Thanks.

I hade a friend that did that.he gave me ten seeds I was just curious to see how they would grow..7 turned out to be regular seeds and 3 turned out to be auto but the 3 auto got bigger then there auto mom did.I got about 7 oz off the auto plants each and and all most two pounds off the other 7 plants each...ps...ky..I cut the anto plants the first week of aug. and the reg. went till the first week of oct....That was the onley 3 autos I ever grew.I don't rember the name of eather strains.I got a budey that grows auto plants indoor and he said he averaged 4 oz a plant....ky

If you've got one female plant and one male plant, you're good to go.

If you've got two female plants, you'll need to risk putting one in herm. And I totally do not suggest that at all.

You still get little round brown seeds, with some black spots on em.

Regular pollen dusted to fem'ed female will give you standard seeds.
