Can I do 3 in a 4x2 tent

I've got 5 little plants that are just over 2 weeks from sprout. 3 of the are mimosa, with one raw diesel and 1 sweet zombie. I want to grow 3 plants, with one of each strain in 9litre pots. Am I being overly ambitious in terms of space in 2x4 tent? Would 2 plants be more sensible?

OK thanks. I was debating whether or not to top them or just let them grow. Thought maybe if I top them they might get too wide

Many 4x2s are low in height, mine was only 5ft so I was very restricted .

So take that into account.
I'd rather have multiple branches I can either super crop or weave and shape than a single main with lower sides because that will allow you to have more uniform light and save you head room if you need it

Don't forget you can chop whole branches off if you see fit, you can do what you want with them. You are the boss of them , unless they are autos

You are lucky, mine is only 4ft tall. I will twist them every which way to keep the canopy low. I can't believe I use to grow with a 400w HPS in that space, but I did and it worked.

You can keep them all in there comfortably if the pot size isn’t too big. Less veg time than you would to fill the space than 2 or 3 plants. Just my opinion.

2 is perfect but you can do 3 comfortably just a shorter veg time. 4 is also possible in smaller pots and trellissing.

Agree with the other commenters ... with each plant trained and laterally spread to a flatter canopy about 24" x 16", you can easily fit 3 plants into a 2 x 4 x 5 and get bud up the wazoo.

I started out with 5ft tall tent with 1000w hps dailed down to 600w damn it was hot as hell
You should never dim a hid light.
Want 600w? Run 600w ballast and bulb. Dimming changes the spectrum output of the bulb. It is designed to arc and create a specific temp through the gas which creates the spectrum the bulb was designed to deliver.

Thanks for the heads-up

2x4x7. Strain is Midnight Snacks from Greenpoint Seeds 5 gallon smart pots organic soils Gonna be tight but it's looking manageable. I'm not a total newbie but not to far from it. You can do it!
