can i grow plants in a solo cup

its a personal grow so I'm not to worried about size. infact id like them to be on the smaller side.but if i plant my bud in solo cups and never transplant them will they grow big enough to flower?

yes they will and you may be lucky and get enough for a joint out of it, seriously though i wouldn't suggest it unless you have mad skills :peace:

just lollipop and you'll yield about 4 oz a plant in a solo cup, though it has to be a red solo cup, they help more with the red spectrum for flowering.

yeah Sonnyboy has a point, it can be done but you will definitely need a lot of skills to pull off a decent yield. if anything try 1gal square pots and see how it turns out for you.

@kinetics: really? you're the first i've ever heard off to yield 4 oz in a solo cup.

fresh i think kinetics was just being "fresh"
the op asked a real question. i have a party cup plant flowering now in with 12 other in 3 gallon pots. i look at the party cup plant and just shake my head, idk why i keep it, lol i just can't kill any MJ plant i guess :peace:

actually i ran out of pots and just threw it in with the rest of them
i've seen ppl grow in them and 20oz soda bottles, it can be done but don't expect much. nothing like the 40 gram colas i get using a 3 gallon pot :peace:

oh okay. i might try the solo cup thing, i got some girls going that have yet to be flowered out yet because of space issues and this could be an alternative. not really looking for yield but potency rather to determine if the off spring is worth keeping.

I saw a pic of 40 gram plant in a beer cup. Not soil, coco or something.

I never got more than around a half a oz. from a beer cup with soil. Strain determines yield mostly and I grow for effect of smoke, not yield.

My very first 12/12fs grow was in a party cup until it's last 2 weeks. I transplanted cuz I was told it was rootbound, but it turned out to just be a def.
I got 20 grams of lemon haze off a 15" tall plant. Was one chubby cola!
