Can I mix and match lights?

Like CFLs with plant and aquarium lights?

I have two 48" plant lights and I'm planning on buy a few CFLs to ad more light. The type of light isn't exactly the same, but both are good for vegging. What do you think?

well my mate is using 2 aqarium lights with his setup and he swares by it so id say itd be a good thing

Sure man. More light is always a better thing.Expescially when using floros. Red spectrum is better for flowrnin and blue for veging but a combo of both will work great on both cycles. The more Watts the better. And keep the floros as close to th plants as you can because the light diminishes a lot every inch farther away from te bulb.

I agree. The broader the range of the light spectrum the plants get, the better I would assume.
