As long as you remove foliage in the same ratio the root mass Shrinks you should be ok. Take even removal of roots with a little more focus in the bottom.I have some mother plant's in 5 gallon pales and I'd like to switch them into 11 liter buckets to save on space. will this work?
Yeah i agree with this.As long as you remove foliage in the same ratio the root mass Shrinks you should be ok. Take even removal of roots with a little more focus in the bottom.
id like to keep these specific mother plants going/ get rid of these buckets asapYeah i agree with this.
Or just take clones from the mothers and flower out or dispose of the rest of the plant....
Then do what the other guy said. I agree that you likely need to remove a good portion of the branches if you want to cut that much root mass off. And i would cut the branches a couple days before cutting the root ball up so that the plant doesnt get quite as much shock all at once.id like to keep these specific mother plants going/ get rid of these buckets asap
