Can I take Clones From My Plants Before I Flower Them?

I have some nice 12-inch tall Northern Lights plants that I grew from feminized seeds. They are all showing female pre-flowers, so I will begin flowering soon.

I would like to take a couple of clones from each plant before flowering them. Is this OK? If so, how long should I allow them to "recover" before I begin flowering?

Thanks

Heck yeah, lollipop your plants and use all the branches you trimmed off as clones. 2 birds with 1 stone

A week??? I usually throw my plants into flowering the same day I take cuttings. I've tried waiting and honestly have not noticed ANY difference. If done properly, I don't think the plants suffer any stress after taking a few branches for cuttings. I break branches quite frequently when watering and have never had any issues from that either. These plants are pretty tough and can handle more than we think they can.;)

Agreed. Putting them into flowering right after taking cuttings should be fine. In fact, a lot of growers advocate taking cutting up to 2-3 weeks into flowering. I personally wouldn't take a clone after the 1st week of flowering (once the plant shows its actually flowering).
