Can I top and trim bottom leaves?

What's up guys the babies are 16 days old since transplanting to the net pots. Under 92w 6500k cfls. I count 5 nodes. Can i top her and let her veg for another week than. Also the leaves on the very bottom appear weaker should I clip some of these away to give more energy to the top of the plant? Here's some pics. The plant on the right is the one I want to play with. It's my freebie and a reg seed the other is a female seed and a freebie but I'd rather start on something that might end up lol

hack on it all you want there your plants. and no the plants are too young to sex. around 3wks.

I'm a super newb so I'm not sure if I should cut them off or it will be bad. I read up on mainlining which removes all the leaves under that main colas but read that some strains don't respond well. I swear I spent over a year reading thought I would be good to go. Reading and doing is totally different

Let them grow before defoliating.you can top for sure sure. Dont do to much defoliating all at once do a little by a little cut your top let it grow back and fill in before messing with bottom

ya let it grow kinda looks like sacks but i wouldn't know i never had males b4 if you find out its a male get rid of it

It's just new growth

You will know if you get bananas.

I like to think about cutting off foliage and branches as being the same as pouring nutrient solution down your sink, leaving your TV on while your at work, and running your water for hours for no reason racking up the bill. Unless you need to train it to fit your area, or are concerned with airflow underneath your canopy and potential pest problems that bad airflow can cause, it makes no sense to cut shit off imo. Can you top? Yes - this makes sense to generate extra tops. Can you trim bottom leaves? Yes - but it's counterproductive and won't do anything for you imho.

Also a lot of those lower branches would be perfect candidates for clones at some point, so it doesn't make sense to throw away what could potentially be your next crop (if you want to clone them ofc lol...).

read one more book. this one has a 12 wk grow system at the end.

h you. my grow space,light,70days of time. i have no space,time, and money to have nothing but the best meds.in my room

In my opinion
if you want to try all the mainling stuff
(dont know if this style requires that it be started from seed or not?)
if it were me id let them grow cuase it looks like you got nicr tight nodes

then when you find the best ones use her clones to do the traing with
that way you know what your putting your time into feel me

this way the clones are nice and MATURE

I was just concerned bc I cut the holes to close in this lid and one plants leaves were resting on the others and I see water droplets. I figure it's the bottom of the leave touching transpiring and don't want mold. I can't fit my fan were they are now. I need to hustle and get the actual room done. And space is a bit of an issue I need them to be full grown under 4' and I guess with the wet leaves I would clean them up so they wouldn't touch but I don't want to be counterproductive.

I just cleaned a 1gal bucket. Should I through the bigger on in there so they don't touch each other? Or just stick to this for another 2 weeks and not make the same mistake.

Thanks for the sexing tips I problem looked at 100s of pics but until I see it in person I'm gonna be a little nervous.

Cold my homie I feel ya thanks big time. So those nodes all tight is good right. I'll still have my small size I need but with lots of buds

Yes tight internode spacing is always a good characteristic

Also think of it this way your leaves are basically solar panels the more you got the more they generate

selective trimming is ok but always try to move and bend more than trim

Yup and these two were my freebies so I reallly realllllly realllllly need to get enough out of it for my personal usage bc all my cash is going into this not to the dealers lol and thennnnnn I have my holy grail kush, ww x bb and c99 to be my real deal but if these come out then I can practice breeding seeds The goal is to never ever need anyone to go to for my goodies 15 yrs of selling and spending I'm all grownz up hahaha well kind of.... And btw cold the late reply was bc I now have a dedicated 20A to my super stealth closet. Gonna post pics. It's a hidden closet that looks like a book shelf and only adjusting several books in the right order opens it hehe I'm just so bummed I can't show anybody this closet bc as soon as they see they will know what I'm up too and I trust 1 person and that my momma and she thinks it's rad ha
